Wax Communications has appointed ex-ZGC/Mustard senior executive Rod Geoghegan as business development director and new board member.

Geoghegan, who most recently ran digital strategy agency Metropolis, brings 20 years of international marketing experience to the role.
His broad experience, which includes research, agency management and digital learning and planning, will add value to Wax’s offer, helping clients to fully realise the potential of the broad range of services the agency offers. Another focus for Geoghegan will be to leverage the success of Wax’s Cause Related Marketing work which has delivered a wealth of successful campaigns including Sainsbury’s Active Kids.
Geoghegan says of his appointment: “Wax is the product of two recognised and successful agencies who have brought together their complementary expertise and talent to create a force to be reckoned with. Wax has a great list of blue chip clients including United Biscuits, Sainsbury’s and Johnson & Johnson and a strong and very experienced team doing great work. The agency has plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline and I look forward to playing a part in its future success and growth.”
Wax Managing Partner says: “Rod is a supreme professional and industry heavyweight. He brings a vast knowledge of marketing, a wealth of experience and solid maturity to the role and we are delighted to welcome him.”
The appointment further bolsters the team of talent at Wax, following its recent creation from the merger this September of two Media Square companies – Dynamo and Catalyst.
